If you need a place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax for a bit, the Brigham Young Historic Park is the perfect place to spend a quiet post-lunch afternoon. It’s located directly east of Temple Square, across from the Church Office Building. This park features an open lawn, a rebuilt portion of a cobblestone wall that marked Brigham Young’s property, and a stage backed by a water wheel that is powered by City Creek’s flow. The sound of running water and beautiful landscaping make this a perfect place to rest, and the fenced perimeter and gated entrance make it easier to block out the surrounding city.
